Which movies about teachers deserve an A?
Conrack: Kobal Collection
With it being back-to-school time again, what movies about teachers would you recommend? My personal favorite would be Mr. Holland's Opus. Richard Dreyfuss was perfect in that movie. Chris
Chris, what I like about your question is that you're not just asking for good movies about school, but what my math teacher called a subset: teacher movies. Okay: Have you ever seen Jon Voight teaching poor kids in South Carolina in 1974's Conrack? Go rent it immediately! My other favorite teachers on film range from Sidney Poitier in To Sir, With Love (1967) to Ben Stein in Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986) to Matthew Broderick in Election (1999).
