Tortoise, the band who brought jazzbo noodling and artsy funk to indie rock drops 32 rare songs and one never-released track on three-CD set, A Lazarus Taxon. The odds and ends are sometimes thrilling, but occasionally just dull and aimless. Bonus: A DVD featuring concert performances and six of their cerebral, MoMA-worthy videos.
