Details Release Date: Sep 26, 2006; Lead Performance: Tony Bennett; Genre: Pop

As with most of Frank Sinatra's 1993 Duets (on which Tony Bennett appeared), Classic teams the singer, 80, with artists at least a generation younger than himself. But where Ol' Blue Eyes' partners were often not in the same time zone as Sinatra when recording, Bennett worked beside his (including George Michael, Tim McGraw, and the youngest, John Legend, 27) for Duets: An American Classic, and the resulting rapport is palpable. The line trading between James Taylor and Bennett on ''Put on a Happy Face'' is deliciously casual, while the still velvet-voiced crooner sounds like he's genuinely flirting with Barbra Streisand on ''Smile.''
