The costar of ABC's The Nine (the hostage drama debuts Oct. 4) says, ''He's so cutting-edge and unreserved!'' of Oscar winner Penn, who plays a bombastic Louisiana politico in the current release All the King's Men. ''I would want to do something dramatic, something with action, [not]comedy. He has no fear, which is so cool and dangerous.''
