Ghost World director Terry Zwigoff and screenwriter Daniel Clowes reteam
with disappointing results. Art School Confidential is fine at mocking
beyond-pretentious art-school staff and students (Malkovich is hilarious
as a bitter instructor) but wobbles when the focus shifts to a campus
strangler. Newcomer Minghella (son of director Anthony) is good, despite
the silly plot twists.
EXTRAS
Deleted scenes, and a film-premiere featurette whose highlight is the
cast reflecting on how the audience ''seemed'' to like it.
