Director-writer Lodge Kerrigan's portrait of a dangerous schizophrenic, Peter (Peter Greene), at loose in the world. Profoundly disturbing yet moving, Clean, Shaven presents a man who cannot explain his inner demons and acts out, with disastrous results. Working with a low budget, Kerrigan manages to convey the torment in Peter's mind through jarring sound effects and visuals verging on the surreal.
