Flav's 77-minute solo debut, Flavor Flav, is roughly 76 minutes too long. Without Public Enemy partner Chuck D to balance his atonal singing and anti-rhythm raps, the sleazy Casanova's grating shouts are unlistenable. Infantile lowlights include ''Let It Show,'' which steals bits of Barney fave ''If You're Happy and You Know It,'' and the caveman-inspired ''Unga Bunga Bunga.'' His fame may have been revived by reality TV, but Flav's musical legacy should be allowed to rest in peace.
