Enjoy the Ride (2006)

Since we last heard from Sugarland, the Georgia trio has become a duo, shedding founding member Kristen Hall. They've lost the lustrous three-part harmonies of their 2004 debut, but the emphasis is now on their best asset, frontwoman Jennifer Nettles' gale-force voice. Enjoy the Ride is a bid for megastardom, a cause aided by producer Byron Gallimore (Tim McGraw), who crafts a lean, rock-tinged country sound. But Nettles hardly needs help — her powerhouse performances on ballads like ''Want To'' will strike fear in the heart of many a Nashville diva.
