The genre-blind NTWICM! series cares not whether a song is pop, rap, rock, or country, as long as it's a recent hit. Vol. 23 serves as a reminder that producer Timbaland is having a good year (Furtado's ''Promiscuous,'' Justin Timberlake's ''SexyBack'') and so is under-hyped rock (Nickelback's ''Far Away,'' Hinder's ''Lips of an Angel''). It also apes real life by separating Nick Lachey (''I Can't Hate You Anymore'') and Jessica Simpson (''A Public Affair''), albeit with just a single track (Teddy Geiger's ''These Walls.'')
