This celebration of the life and work of the great Canadian poet-songsmith somewhat uneasily mixes documentary material with performances from a Hal Willner-curated 2005 tribute show. But the many highlights include a fabulous version of ''Chelsea Hotel No. 2'' sung by Rufus Wainwright and Cohen's admission that he only started writing poetry in the first place to get girls. Make what you will of the fact that it was produced by Mel Gibson's Icon company.
EXTRAS
A tad more Leonard interview footage and four bonus songs.
