The members of this multinational, Simon Cowell-assembled quartet seem engineered for maximum unhipness: Their smooth, operatic vocals and anonymously chiseled looks wouldn't offend the most reserved great-grandmother. The new string-laden weepers on Il Divo's third studio CD, Siempre, make pleasant background music, and an Italian-language Moody Blues cover (one of three retooled oldies) captures some of the original's melodramatic verve. But after 10 cuts, you'll long for a fresher, edgier singer say, Enrico Caruso.
