Look Both Ways (2006)

A group of ordinary Aussies collides after a minor but fatal train accident in Look Both Ways, an unexpectedly fun, optimistic meditation on mortality. Director Sarah Watt treads lightly on heavy subjects, breaking up gentle drama with detours into the characters' overactive imaginations. Newspaper shutterbug Nick (McInnes) confronts his fear of death in lively photomontages, while artist Meryl (Clarke) envisions shark attacks and catastrophic accidents in quirky animation.
