Daniel's Boon
Thank you for the cover photo of Daniel Craig and Eva Green. I agree
that ''Casino Royale is the Best Bond in Decades.'' I have read every
James Bond story and seen every Bond movie, but I have been steadily
losing interest in the gadget-oriented plots. After seeing this movie, I
think Casino Royale is certainly among the best Bond films. I love that
the franchise has been made over, and I look forward to CR's DVD release
so I can watch it again.

I can see the point in having Eva Green practice her pose with a wax
figure of Daniel Craig, but why use that photo instead of one with the
real man on your cover? The real, hot Craig can be found on page 33.

I owe Daniel Craig an apology. I thought Mr. Craig was wrong for the
part for various reasons: blond, too stern-looking, etc. But it's those
qualities that have left me shaken and stirred by the new best Bond
ever! Sean who?

007 Heaven
I couldn't disagree more with your statement that Timothy Dalton had
''double-zero charisma'' in the Bond role (''Bond for Glory''). While I
appreciate Sean Connery's sex appeal, it was Dalton who made my heart go
pitter-patter.

With the possible exception of Roger Moore's mother, Benjamin Svetkey is
the only person who'd rank Live and Let Die above From Russia With Love in the 007 pantheon.

While not officially part of the oeuvre, Never Say Never Again did have
one of the greatest one-liners (''Good to see you, Mr. Bond. Things have
been awfully dull around here.... I hope we're going to see some
gratuitous sex and violence'') and merited a mention in your story.

Tenacious About D
You gave Veronica Mars a D (Television)? Is that for ''delightful,'' ''damn
good,'' or ''dee wittiest show on TV''?

Suing Borat: Not Niiice
Attorney Olivier Taillieu claims his clients were lied to and taken
advantage of while intoxicated by Sacha Baron Cohen and the Boratproducers (News & Notes)? Other people can't be blamed for what those
guys said on film. Does the possibility of it not showing in the U.S.
make it okay for them to have said what they said? Hardly. Would these
''anonymous'' students be suing Mr. Baron Cohen had Borat bombed?
Doubtful. If you think people never regret things they've said, just ask
John Kerry, Mel Gibson, or Michael Richards how they're doing.

Helms Yeah
Kudos for noticing Ed Helms' brilliance on The Office (Must List). How
do you upstage Michael Scott and Dwight Schrute? By imitating one and
picking a fight with the other.

What About Babs?
Nice job on your interesting and, dare I say, nonjudgmental article
about those of us who love, admire, worship (you choose the verb) Barbra
Streisand (''People, People Who Love Barbra''). It's nice to know I'm not
alone! (As I like to say, Moses only got to see God once I've seen her
five times.)
