It takes more than 15 minutes of fame to afford the former estate of pop artist Andy Warhol. Built in 1931 for the heirs to the Arm & Hammer baking soda fortune, Warhol and his collaborator, filmmaker Paul Morrissey, bought the secluded compound in 1970. The property includes a Colonial Revival main house, two guesthouses, a caretaker's house, staff house, and horse stable. The 5.7 acre estate, known as Eothen -- Greek for ''toward the east'' -- has 600 feet of beachfront and is surrounded by more than 100 acres of undeveloped land. A perfect getaway for celebs seeking solitude, Eothen has hosted the likes of Mick Jagger, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, and artist - filmmaker Julian Schnabel (''Before Night Falls''). Sorry, no Warhol paintings included.
