You could say the same for Tony and Genevieve (right down to the matching necklaces, in fact. What is it with these things?). He's chiseled with a smile from here till next Tuesday, while brunette Genevieve has a vacant stare that screams ''What the hell am I doing here?'' (Gee, I wonder whose idea it was to apply for THIS adventure.)

John and Shannon and Thomas and Nikkole make up the other two couples, but neither pair has matching necklaces, so there's really no good reason to talk about them. Oh, alright, I guess we should anyway. John seems like he could be the resident rebel on the program, what with his semi-spiky hair and soul patch facial hair, while Shannon looks just like last season's Shannon -- blond and bikini-clad. (Let's hope her beau isn't as disagreeable as that pretentious numbskull Andy.) Meanwhile, African-American Thomas has an apparent aversion to shirts, which may stem from his desire to show off his nifty tattoo. He's no doubt hoping girlfriend Nikkole doesn't adopt a similar topless approach during her stay.

The biggest change in the show this time around is that the couples will be separated for twice as long -- 26 days compared to last year's 13. This ups the ante considerably, because when you take into consideration that Kaya and Mandy were both sucking face with strangers after only a few days last season, just think what could happen if some of the new contestants have THEIR sex drive. (As long as they don't have THEIR wardrobe. I still have nightmares about some of Kaya's designer shirts.)

We know these people are looking for love (or a one-night stand, at the very least) in all the wrong places, but for some reason, we can't help but watch. Maybe it's morbid fascination, maybe it makes us feel better about our own relationships, or maybe it's just to see host Walberg do his best Ricardo Montalban impersonation while welcoming guests to Temptation Island -- and on horseback this time around, no less! Whatever the reason, we're ready, we're waiting, and we're not gonna apologize for it. At least not yet.
