It's amazing who pass for ''elder statesmen'' these days. Only 10 years ago, Cypress Hill codified the rap-rock formula (thrash chords; heavy bass; raps about pot, politics, and violence). They've mellowed, but Stoned Raiders evokes nostalgia and a realization of how awful most imitators are: None have the mike skills of B-Real or Sen Dog; few can match DJ Muggs' psychedelic creep-show vibe; and not one has the cred to draw guests like Redman and Kurupt.
