Why? Think funeral home director, and an image of an old guy with dandruff-coated glasses and a too-tight polyester suit comes to mind. But when HBO's latest score, ''Six Feet Under,'' premiered, Krause killed that stereotype in seconds. Nate is complex, mercurial, tortured, romantic, kind, and hilarious. All of a sudden, the Grim Reaper is seeming a whole lot sexier.
