Dawson's Creek (The WB, 8 p.m.)
Kinda bad begets wicked, freakin' bad: On the way to a secret rendezvous with her thirtysomething college professor, Joey Potter gets mugged at gunpoint by a dude who bears a striking resemblance to her dad.

South Park (Comedy Central, 10 p.m.)
Somebody should give this show the Better Than Ever in Spite of the Way It Seemed to Run out of Gas Last Season award. Tonight, the gang reenacts a Civil War Battle. And you laugh really hard.

Diary (MTV, 10:30)
After ''South Park,'' give your laugh muscles a rest by watching this profile of U.S. freestyle skiing Olympian Hannah Hardaway.

Temptation Island 2 (Fox, 9 p.m.)
A.k.a. When Shallow, Bikini Clad Hotties Make Deep, Cold-Blooded Speeches. The season finale will feature all the couples huddled around a bonfire deciding whether to keep or dump their other halves. Place bets, make margaritas, and feel really good about yourself at their expense. Really, they won't mind.

The Vagina Monologues (HBO, 9:30)
Eve Ensler performs her one-woman show the way she did before it became a celebrity-centric NYC Off Broadway fixture: all by herself.

True Love Stories (The WB, 8 p.m.)
Warning: This documentary of inspirational love stories is intended for well-adjusted viewers who won't growl at happy couples -- even if they are also Olympic skating champs.

Charmed (The WB, 9 p.m.)
The really romantic guys will turn down a bevy of babes on ''Temptation Island'' for the chance to see Alyssa Milano... age 50 years. I said REALLY romantic.

A Charlie Brown Valentine (ABC, 8 p.m.)
Before Pixar made cartoons so shiny. Before ''South Park'' made kids so, well, not shiny, there was the ''Peanuts'' gang. Tonight's ALL NEW 1/2 hour special finds the original neurotic kid in a tizzy over the little red-haired girl. Who, of course, he doesn't get. Go on, empathize and regress to your heart's content.

America's Funniest Home Videos: Stupid Cupid (ABC, 9 p.m.)
The way I see it, you're home (alone? again? that's too sad) on Valentine's Day, so you may as well watch people klutzier than you screw up marriage proposals and make perfect asses of themselves. Go ahead, you deserve it.
