Catch and Release (2007)

After her not quite Elektra-fying turn as a superhero, Jennifer Garner returns in this romantic dramedy as Gray Wheeler, who's left reeling after the sudden death of her fiancé and steady revelations about him. She finds support from a group of his old friends, including Sam (played by Clerks director Kevin Smith) and, most surprisingly to her, Fritz (Timothy Olyphant, Deadwood), who she finds may have more to him than initially met her eye.
