In The Last Kiss, Michael (Zach Braff) feels life's choke hold as he's approaching 30 and his girlfriend (Jacinda Barrett) is expecting; escape comes in the form of a nubile coed (Bilson). Braff's turn as unlikable, self-absorbed Michael is admirable, but it's the terrific Barrett, plus Blythe Danner and Tom Wilkinson as her parents, who gives Kiss weight.
EXTRAS
In two commentaries, director Tony Goldwyn discusses the movie's
ending it's more optimistic than the '01 Italian original, L'Ultimo
Bacio and the production's festive atmosphere (''How raunchy was our
set?!'').
