It's official: the long-anticipated American Idol all-David final is on. By sending tenacious Broadway-esque belter Syesha Mercado home after numerous visits to the bottom two, voters set up an Archuleta vs. Cook showdown for the season 7 crown next week.
Before the result was announced, Wednesday night's show featured a visit from season 3 Idol winner Fantasia, who performed ''Bore Me (Yawn),'' and taped highlights of the two Davids and Syesha receiving heroes' welcomes on their respective homecoming trips.
