Song ''Bohemian Rhapsody''
Date April 12, 2005 (season 4)
Why We Remember A contestant known more for making ridiculous bedroom eyes at the camera than for delivering pitch-perfect performances, Constantine (shown here during Broadway week) was an easy punch line for music purists who love to hate Idol. But with his audacious decision to tackle Queen's theatrical rock anthem ''Bohemian Rhapsody,'' he proved he was not only more fearless than his competitors but also had better taste in material. For a few brief moments, Constantine's vocal performance matched his grandiose ambitions, making him, at the very least, one of the show's most fascinating competitors, if not exactly one of its best.
