Fullest disclosure: I heard that the best moments of both shows dovetailed nicely Wednesday night when my friend John Hodgman (I guess that's the actual disclosure I meant to get around to here), the show's ''resident expert'' and the author of The Areas of My Expertise, showed up to offer his hilarious ''American'' analysis with Jon Stewart — which we, in much better quality you will surely find soon enough on the Internets, share now here with you.
