Jack's Tracks

Where in the world is ''24''? -- From D.C. to Kuala Lumpur, here are the many locations featured in the real-time drama

1. LOS ANGELES, DAYS 1-6
Poor, beleaguered L.A. The home of Jack Bauer's CTU branch (and Chloe O'Brian) is also the target of major terrorist threats — from nuclear bombs to deadly nerve gas — in every 24 season.

2. WASHINGTON, D.C., DAYS 1-6
Where presidents both heroic (David Palmer) and corrupt (Charles Logan) reside. The politicos are good at bossing people around — except for Jack.

3. KOSOVO, SERBIA, DAYS 1 AND 3
Failing to kill Victor Drazen during Operation Nightfall haunts Jack when Drazen reappears on day 1. Kosovo is also the base for day 3 MI6 agent-turned-terrorist Stephen Saunders.

4. THE MIDDLE EAST, DAYS 2, 4, AND 6
Against the wishes of President David Palmer on day 2, VP Prescott orders military strikes on three countries he believes are involved in a terrorist plot. On day 4, Turkish Crimson Jihad leader Habib Marwan shoots down Air Force One, while day 6 baddie Abu Fayed also hails from the region.

5. CHINA, DAYS 4, 5, AND 6
The Chinese consulate refuses to turn over one of its citizens for Bauer-style ''questioning'' in day 4. At the end of day 5, Jack is snatched and held for nearly two years by Chinese officials.

6. VALENCIA, CALIF., DAY 6
Terrorists led by Abu Fayed detonate a nuke here...with more potentially to come.

7. MEXICO, DAY 3
Jack travels south of the border to intercept a biological weapon before it is unleashed on L.A.

8. IOWA, DAY 4
A Chinese national is found to be complicit in a plot to steal a nuclear warhead being transported to the Hawkeye State.

9. CUBA, DAY 2
Second Wave leader Syed Ali is killed by a sniper while on his way to a detention center in Guantánamo Bay.

10. LONDON, DAY 2
Marie Warner becomes a militant radical after she's brainwashed in the U.K.

11. RUSSIA, DAY 5
Russian Vladimir Bierko and his band of baddies get their hands on canisters of Sentox nerve gas (and release some of it at CTU, killing Edgar Stiles). And we're still trying to figure out what the deal is with Day 6's Dmitri Gredenko.

12. AFRICA, DAYS 2-3
Duplicitous Nina Myers was supposedly exiled to the northern part of the continent, but somehow shows up in Mexico.

13. CENTRAL ASIA, DAY 5
Prez Logan's oil interests in this region drive government conspiracy.

14. SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA, DAY 2
dawns here, as a man is tortured into revealing the location of (do we detect a pattern?) a nuclear bomb.

15. KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA, DAY 1
This is where Agent Victor Rovner first uncovers the plot to assassinate presidential candidate David Palmer.
