Details Release Date: Feb 27, 2007; DVD Release Date: Feb 27, 2007; Movie Rated: PG-13; Genre: Documentary; Distributor: Miramax

The Heart of the Game is a rousing doc follows a Seattle high school girls' basketball team, their tax-professor coach, and talented but troubled star point guard Darnellia Russell through six tumultuous seasons. If only director Ward Serrill had spent more time delving into the players' off-court lives and less time in the gym.
EXTRAS A routine director's commentary (where we learn that Serrill's original intention was to chronicle a single season); a mixed bag of 12 deleted scenes; and a series of post-Game interviews that reveal more of Russell's personality than the film itself.
