Magnum and Baywatch fans bow at the altar of this long-running crime series, which set the standard for shoot-outs with a hang-10 backdrop. Season 1 of Hawaii Five-O introduces lantern-jawed Det. Steve McGarrett (Lord) and the best cop catchphrase ever: ''Book 'em, Danno.'' The pace is languid compared with modern procedurals, but the exotic locales are lovely to look at while waiting for the case to close.
EXTRAS The highlight of a 1996 reunion doc: a tribute to the late Lord and numerous clips of McGarrett as he leis down the law.
