You'd think Arrested Development's Arnett, director Bob Odenkirk (Mr.
Show), and the minds behind Reno 911! would produce a prison comedy
that's...what? Riotous? Rule-breaking? But Let's Go to Prison's script is stale, Odenkirk
can't settle on a tone, and Arnett and McBride are in thankless-role
lockdown.
EXTRAS The superior alternate ending suggests that someone in a suit imposed
the existing overcooked wrap-up. Odenkirk's lo-fi chat with the
soundtrack's funk musicians (Reggie McBride, James Gadson, and more)
thankfully presents Ray Parker Jr. as more than just the Ghostbusters
guy.
