+ MTV Books will publish Nikki Sixx's long-gestating autobiography, The Heroin Diaries, this fall. ''There is some crazy s--- in there when I was at my worst with drugs,'' says the Mötley Crüe bassist. ''I'm glad I lived to talk about it.''

+ Casting news for Kate Walsh's potential Grey's Anatomy spin-off: Chris Lowell (Veronica Mars), Merrin Dungey (Alias, King of Queens), and Amy Brenneman (Judging Amy) are joining Walsh in May's two-hour Grey'sepisode that will serve as the new show's pilot.

+ She caused damage as demon-killer Faith in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but now Eliza Dushku plans to do some healing in the Fox pilot Nurses. She'll play Eve, a new hospital employee who ''has a wild past — and happens to be the daughter of the chief of staff,'' says Dushku from the set of the dramedy. ''P.J. Hogan is directing the pilot, and he has a really crazy vibe. Muriel's Wedding [which he helmed] basically shaped my adolescence.''
