Details Release Date: Apr 10, 2007; Writer: Eric Jerome Dickey; Genre: Fiction; Publisher: Dutton Adult

Violent, tawdry, and populated by characters with the morals of horny alley cats, Eric Jerome Dickey's Sleeping With Strangers, follows antihero Gideon, a ruthless, anxiety-ridden hitman trying to score enough money so he can retire from his murderous trade. But he has to purge his demons first, which takes him through the red-light districts of London and Amsterdam to find the woman responsible for his depravity. Bloody fistfights, improbable dialogue, and raunchy sex scenes ensue. And while the plot can be entertaining enough (in a sleazy kind of way), Dickey's novel is as forgettable as late-night Cinemax.
