Ben Kingsley plays a Buffalo hitman who gets sent to San Francisco when he can't lay off the booze and if that sounds like Sopranos meets Grosse Pointe Blank, that's the point. ''It's a dysfunctional 12-step movie where being sober is more important than murdering people,'' says John Dahl (Rounders). Kingsley tries to dry out at AA meetings with the help of real estate agent Bill Pullman. Along the way, he meets Téa Leoni and falls in love. ''It's a little bizarre,'' says Dahl. ''It's not a movie a lot of people are going to get.'' What's to get? Kingsley. Glock. Flask. We're there. (June 27)
