Raising nearly $70 million for charity, the April 25 Idol Gives Backevent was at once a massive success and a certified head-scratcher. (We're not just talking about Elvis' bizarre resurrection.) Where was Borat? Or Gwen Stefani? Or Pink, Michael Bublé, and Daniel Radcliffe? Where the heck was Mr. Bean?! In an April 5 release, Fox touted them all, yet none were there on show night. What gives? A rep for Borat (Sacha Baron Cohen) declined comment, while Bublé's rep says he had a scheduling conflict (though he did cameo in the all-star video). A Fox spokeswoman says time constraints kept prerecorded segments by Radcliffe, Bean (Rowan Atkinson), Pink, and Stefani from airing. Pink's rep says the star understood producers' priorities: ''She felt it was important the children's story be told.'' Her performance is set to air May 9, but at press time Fox could not confirm if Stefani's would run. If not, we hear Elvis is free.

''I feel good knowing I gave it all I had for a long, long time.''
