As Josh Baskin, the kid trapped in a man's body, could attest, bigger isn't always better. The 25 extra minutes tacked onto Big: Extended Edition featuring Elizabeth Perkins' toy exec cracking the whip and Josh's hunt for an all-white tux are mostly superfluous. EXTRAS Four packed docs confirm the FAO Schwarz keyboard bit was not improvised it took months of prep but the baby-corn-nibbling scene was. Also, Tom Hanks was cast after Robert De Niro dropped out, and had no clue about Big's imminent success, telling Perkins, ''We're going straight to video.'' B+
