Raised in Kentucky's hill country on stone-cold country and mainstream pop, 24-year-old Julie Reeves comes to her debut in It's About Time with a fistful of pulse-quickening rockers, soulful ballads, and an irresistible dash of sassy rockabilly. Reeves — whose knowing delivery and winsome vulnerability are so reminiscent of the young Reba — knows how to sell a song on both sides of the torch-and-twang divide. Ho hum: Another star is born. B
