Bill Murray began his reign as comedy god chanting ''It just doesn't matter!'' as screw-the-rules head counselor Tripper in this summer-camp classic. His unrelenting improvised riffing isn't as funny as you remember in Meatballs, but then again, how many teenage favorites ever are? EXTRAS Murray didn't commit until the third day of filming, director Ivan Reitman and co-writer/co-producer Daniel Goldberg say on the commentary, but he saved the movie: More Murray-centric scenes were shot after a test screening showed that little without him worked.
