...became a mother
Back in the late '90s, I gave birth to my first child, and had a nasty bout with postpartum depression... I also watched the film Over the Top [pictured] on cable around this time. You know the one with Sylvester Stallone arm-wrestling so he could get custody of his kid or whatever? The song ''Meet Me Half Way'' by Kenny Loggins comes on, and I became a full-on fetal position basket case. I realized that I, too, loved my child so much that I would do anything for her, including arm-wrestling competitions. (At the time, that thought made perfect sense.) JenJen
Aerosmith's ''I Don't Wanna Miss a Thing.'' I had come home from the hospital with my newborn son and was nursing him when this song came on. I was so overwhelmed at the sentiment and the fact that it spoke directly to how I felt about my son that I broke down crying. I never cry so my husband thought I had postpartum depression!''
