Without co-creator Larry David (he bailed after season 7), Jerry Seinfeld indulged a more waggish sense of humor in Seinfeld: Season 8. Think cockfights, urban sombreros, and the mortifying Mock-Elaine-A dance. ''There was a sense that the teacher was gone,'' director Andy Ackerman says in the ''Submarine Captain'' featurette. ''Now we can goof off.'' EXTRAS Seinfeld remained true to the irascible David: ''My favorite thing about the whole series is inexplicable malevolence,'' says Seinfeld in one of 14 rather humdrum ''Inside Looks.'' Spoken like a true anti-dentite. A-
