MOVIES
+ Sandra Bullock has said ''yes'' to The Proposal a rom-com about a book
editor who marries her assistant to avoid being deported back to Canada.
Explains producer David Hoberman (Monk), ''This woman starts off as a
hard case and ends up falling in love for the first time.''
+ Producer Joel Silver is giving He-Man a makeover. The new live-action Masters of the Universe pic will be ''cooler'' and ''grittier'' than the '87 Dolph Lundgren flick, a source close to the film assures EW. ''It'll be more like Lord of the Rings.'' No news on who'll don He-Man's loincloth.
BOOKS
+ Borat, a.k.a. Sacha Baron Cohen, is writing a two-in-one flip book due
this fall, titled Borat: Touristic Guidings to Minor Nation of U.S. and
A. and Borat: Touristic Guidings to Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan. ''It's
exactly like the movie,'' says Borat's editor, Flying Dolphin Press'
Peter Gethers, ''totally tasteless and brilliantly funny.'' With one
exception: ''I don't think we'll be seeing naked wrestling.''
