More than 20 years after his death, Bob Marley's family continues to keep his legacy alive and lucrative. Here's a look at some of their businesses.
Tuff Gong International
Founded in 1970, the label's Jamaican HQ has a recording studio and
record shop; its U.S. offices handle CD distribution and marketing.
Zion Rootswear
The worldwide manufacturer of Marley merchandise also holds T-shirt
licensing rights to Jimi Hendrix, Johnny Cash, and James Brown, among
other music legends.
Ghetto Youths International
In the mid-'90s, Marley's sons established their own label to develop
young Jamaican artists.
Marley Resort & Spa
The family has transformed its vacation home in Nassau, Bahamas, into a
16-suite hotel overlooking Cable Beach, opening this fall.
Bob Marley Museum
Marley's former Kingston residence at 56 Hope Road is now a repository
of memorabilia.
