Few actresses have nailed teen angst like Winona Ryder, who moped her way to stardom in a string of movies that strived (with varying degrees of success) for quirkiness. And as delusional adoptee Dinky Bossetti, who's waiting for the titular hometown honey to return and claim her as her daughter, she's a heartfelt delight. But even she can't save Welcome Home, Roxy Carmichael, an offbeat pic pointlessly oversaturated with grating characters who look like they got lost on their way to a John Waters fan club convention. EXTRAS None. B-
