Some of the jokes land like bad cabaret, but The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, the Australian smash about three drag queens storming the outback in a pink bus, still has exuberance to spare, plus a lovely turn from Terence Stamp as the wry Bernadette. EXTRAS A making-of doesn't offer much, but director Stephan Elliott's commentary compensates with loads of entertaining war stories about the cash-strapped shoot. (Materials for the outrageous Oscar-winning costumes were bought at Kmart.) B+
