FRANK TALK Sinatra lobbied for this part, too, as did Butch Cassidy sidekick Robert Redford, who envisioned a more noble Galvin.

WORTHY EXTRAS? We object...to the resurrected Sidney Lumet-Newman ''joint'' commentary featuring a paltry 88 seconds of chat from the star. Fortunately, his performance speaks for itself. B+
