The skim-milk-thin plot of Nutty Professor II: The Klumps (something about a fountain-of-youth drug) won't win awards, and neither will the hackneyed moral (accept yourself), but the real problem with this sequel to the hit remake is tone. From geriatric flatulence to two-ton hamsters with a yen for sodomy, vulgarity hangs over this nasty fun house like a jack-in-the-box. It's neither fun nor funny, and while Eddie Murphy remains a crackerjack polymorph, his overloud comedy lacks the heart that made the 1996 film so endearing.
