Who will replace Bob Barker?
Who will ''come on down!'' to be the next host of The Price Is Right? It's a (Showcase) showdown! The odds on three candidates and one wannabe.
John O'Hurley
He tripped the light fantastic on Dancing With the Stars, and O'Hurley
(a.k.a. Seinfeld's J. Peterman) could prove adept at the delicate tap
dancing that's often required on Price like seeming genuinely gleeful
about the cost of a waffle iron and knowing how to gracefully decline a
hug and a kiss from a woman (or man). 3-1
George Hamilton
The veteran game-show guest (Match Game, Password, Hollywood Squares,
etc.) is an obvious choice to follow Bob because he's just like Barker:
Both are charter members of AARP whose charm and looks appeal to ladies
both young and old, and neither has seen his original pigment since the
Nixon administration. 6-1
Dave Price
Temperatures would probably rise on The Early Show because the popular
weatherman would have to hop a plane almost daily from New York to tape
Price, but Price has just enough of the goof gene to make Plinko look
like a roarin' good time. And hello? With a name like that, how can you
not give him the gig? 12-1
Rosie O'Donnell
Girlfriend wants the job more than anyone she said as much during a
recent taping of The View but given how she accused American Idol of
being ''weightist'' for ousting Frenchie in 2003, we can't see her showing
much patience for the size 0 models who try to make a five-piece dinette
set look sexy. 100-1
