''I feel bad that people wasted their money on such trite, blah pop music,'' the former Top 40 marionette Mandy Moore said of her back catalog in a recent interview. Don't get excited: She's not offering a refund. Instead, she's enlisted such sensitive singer-songwriters as Rachael Yamagata and Chantal Kreviazuk to co-pen Wild Hope. The results are surprisingly unsappy, with the country-rock-influenced ''Latest Mistake'' and ''Nothing That You Are'' shining brightest among the CD's abundance of bruised-by-bad-guys laments.
