The Execution Channel (2007)

In a not-too-distant future where terrorism and political wars are the norm, a skittish, news-obsessed citizenry endures a string of post-9/11, post-Iraq War crises: an Iran war, a flu epidemic, and constant bombings. After a U.S. military base in Scotland is nuked, the British government tails French spy James Travis and his daughter, Roisin, for possible involvement. Few of the characters are who they seem to be, from the Travises to the crooked government agents who publicly spin disinformation and conspiracy theories. Sadly, The Execution Channel's fragmented and complicated storylines, unmemorable characters, and Ph.D.-level geopolitical references make an otherwise worldly tale dizzying. C
