Produced by the Beastie Boys' Adam Yauch (a longtime fan), Build A Nation finds
the original lineup of this seminal quartet reembracing their dual
identity as warp-speed hardcore punks and visionary reggae
proselytizers. The result is Bad Brains' most cohesive effort since the
1986 watershed I Against I. Coming after years of uneven CDs and
ill-advised personnel shifts, it's truly heartening to bear witness to
the band that best embodies the spirit of Bob Marley's 1977 ''Punky
Reggae Party'' functioning in top form again.
