When Sam's buying his first car, Bumblebee (in Camaro form) damages an
old VW Bug to ensure Sam won't buy it. In the original series, Bumblebee
was a VW Bug.
FIGHTING WORDS
As Optimus Prime and Megatron get set to do battle, Prime says, ''One
shall stand, one shall fall.'' It's the exact line he said before they
dueled in the 1986 animated Transformers movie.
COLD WARRIORS
Megatron and his second-in-command, Starscream, loathe each other in the
cartoon series; the film nods to this with Megatron's line ''You've
failed me again, Starscream.''
