The biggest upcoming projects in entertainment

TELEVISION
+ The snazzy L.A. digs aren't the only new thing you'll see on season 5 of Nip/Tuck (premiering in October). Several guest actresses will class up the joint, including Lauren Hutton, Daphne Zuniga, Jennifer Coolidge, Tia Carrere, Paula Marshall, and Portia de Rossi, who plays the mother of an unruly teen. ''She's witty and confident,'' says de Rossi of her character, ''and she's gay, which is exciting.'' Adds Marshall, a love interest for Dylan Walsh's Sean: ''Everyone wants to be on this show and I see why: [Creator] Ryan Murphy couldn't be cooler.'' Rosie O'Donnell reprises her role as Dawn Budge, and let's not forget the dudes who'll drop by: Oliver Platt, Craig Bierko, and Alias' Bradley Cooper.

MOVIES
+ Cooper is also set to play the lead in the comedy All About Steve. He and his co-worker, a TV reporter played by Thomas Haden Church, are stalked by a crossword-puzzle writer (Sandra Bullock). ''It's really about life,'' says Church, ''and how people have eye-opening experiences.''
