After challenging herself with roles as a racist yuppie (Crash) and reserved Harper Lee (Infamous), Sandra Bullock impresses again in Premonition as a widow whose husband may not be dead. The dubious script of this psychological thriller thrusts her through an emotional gauntlet, yet the story is so knotted with untied threads that initial confusion soon snowballs into aggravation. EXTRAS In ''Glimpses of the Future,'' Bullock concedes her own befuddlement at the script's ''levels of loopy,'' and a baffling supernatural alternate ending reinforces the film's diluted vision. B-
