''The Godfather gave me a career, it gave me every opportunity that you can have,'' says the actor, 67, whose lesser-known work can be seen in the recently released DVD set Pacino: An Actor's Vision. ''Everything around me changed,'' he recalls of the Coppola classic's debut when he was 31. ''I said, 'What's going on?' and as Lee Strasberg — the great acting teacher, and my friend — said to me, 'Darling, you simply have to adjust.' It only took me 10 years, but I did adjust. Finally.''
